Michel Bosshard was born in 1961. He attended the French School in Zurich. He then studied law for four semesters at University of Zürich, before enrolling at the University of Geneva where he graduated with a Master in law. While completing his legal traineeship, Michel Bosshard also obtained post-graduate degrees in company management and European law from the University of Geneva.
Before having completed his legal education, Michel Bosshard worked for Swissair for a few years, and interned at Crédit Suisse and at the Supreme Court of the Canton of Jura. Mr. Bosshard then joined OHER Attorneys in 1992, as an intern. He was called to the bar in Geneva in 1993. Michel Bosshard worked for John F. Eardley for a few years and then became a partner in 1999.
Michel Bosshard advises and represents clients in both domestic and international cases.
He is a board member of several companies active in information technology and real estate.
Michel Bosshard is a member of the Geneva Business Law Association , the Geneva Society for Law and Legislation, the Swiss Association of Tax Law, the Swiss Air & Space Law Association, and the Geneva Association for Property Owners.
On an international level, he is a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers.
Law and other activities
Interested in Foreign Affairs, Michel Bosshard is regulary participating in international elections observation missions (UN, OSCE, EU, OAS) as Swiss expert for civilian Peacebulding of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.
In parallel to his legal career, Michel Bosshard pursued a military career as commander (captain) of an infantry company of the canton of Jura (Swiss militair system).
